What are you afraid of?
People around the world are feeling more fearful than they did in the past. Fear affects the way we live and they way that we relate to those around us. Our youth group is hosting a youth service this Sunday evening at 7 pm to ask the question "What are you afraid of?"
No doubt
Whitney & Laura - 3 years ago this weekend they were involved in a tragic traffic accident. One girl died, the other spent weeks in a Grand Rapids hospital recovering from her injuries. Two lovely young women, who look remarkably similar... Five weeks after the accident, the discovery was made that Whitney, who had been pronounced dead, was actually alive. When her family received that news, they found it "just so unbelievable." The news of Jesus' resurrection is also "just so unbelievable" but Jesus himself puts our doubts to rest. Join us this Sunday for "no doubts." 10:00 a.m.

GEMS Sunday (girl effect video link)
This Sunday our GEMS girls' club will participate in our service in various ways. The girls invite us to walk with them on the "Micah Road," where God requires of us that we act justly and love mercy. When Jesus is in our hearts, we really can change the world. Check out the video (thanks to Sarah for passing this on to me.) Join us this Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

Beneath the cross of Jesus
Judas kisses Jesus and that kiss sets in motion a series of events which lead to Jesus' death less than 24 hours later. Join us on Good Friday as we follow Jesus during the last hours before his death. We find ourselves beneath the cross of Jesus and in the shadow of that cross we will share the communion meal which Jesus himself instituted the night before his crucifixion.

On your knees
As Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem, "the whole city was stirred," (Matt 21:10) shaken, in turmoil. They asked, "Who is this?" As we approach Good Friday, we confess that this is Jesus, the Son of God, the one who saves. When we are shaken and fall to our knees, we can look up to Jesus and he will lift us up.
