James Bond insisted that his martini should be shaken, not stirred. To get us from where we were to where God wants us to be God puts us through a two-step process. First, he shakes us, causing us to see how deeply our sins have impacted us. And then he sends his Spirit to stir us to action. Shaken, then stirred.
