One of the confessions of our church says that the true church is easily distinguished from the false church. The marks of the true church include pure preaching, pure administration of the sacraments, and being mutually responsible for one another. Jesus builds the true church, but we have a role to play as well. How we work that out will quickly reveal whether or not we are building the true church, 'cause after all, if it quacks like a duck and swims like a duck, it's a duck.
