PROPping up the government

Should public schools allow prayer and bible reading? Should our taxes support every legitimate sort of education, including Christian education? Should Christians try to get stores to close on the Lord’s Day and porno theatres to close permanently? Should Christians try to get Henry Morgentaler’s Order of Canada revoked?
The relationship between the church and the state has been a topic of discussion since the church was instituted in the first century. Paul jumps right in with his insistence that we PROP-up our governing authorities. We do so by Paying our taxes, Respecting those in authority, Obeying them, and Praying for them. This Sunday we look at Romans 13 and what it means to be a Christian in society.
