The Fox and the Grapes - the sequel

In Aesop's fable, the fox, unable to reach the grapes, surmises that the grapes are probably sour anyway. In the sequel to this fable, the fox looks over his shoulder as he leaves and sees those grapes again. His desire for that which he cannot have begins to grow until it becomes an obsession. Too often, the sequel to the fable is our story. We resent the fact that God has said "no" to us. We begin to percieve God as a withholder instead of a generous giver. It's the story of the fall in Genesis 3, and it's our story. Join us this Sunday, and be reminded that our God is the "overflowing source of all good."
