We hear God’s promises, and to some extent, we know we already enjoy so much from him. At the same time, we can anticipate so much more. Jesus has already brought in his Kingdom, but someday, gladness and joy are going to overtake us; everlasting joy will crown our heads. Today we still know sadness and pain, but there will be a happy ending. "Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom" (Isaiah 35:1). And that ending will be just the beginning!
